The water quality in the pool is extremely important for the health of swimmers and the protection of pool equipment.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

POOL SEASON PREPARATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before removing the winter cover from the pool, clean the pool surroundings of leaves, twigs, and other debris that could fall into the water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wash, dry, and store the cover in a dry and enclosed place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Use a net to remove larger debris floating on the water surface or that have fallen to the bottom of the pool.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visually inspect all pool equipment (pipes, connections, valves, filter, pump, lighting, ladders, nozzles…) and check for any damage or malfunction. If necessary, replace the quartz sand in the filter or use glass filter media which has a longer lifespan and better performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thoroughly clean all pool surfaces with an organic dirt remover (dust, grease, oils, plant residues…) and an inorganic dirt remover (limescale, mineral dirt, rust…). Do not clean the pool in strong sunlight and do not use too strong concentrations of cleaning agents.<\/span><\/p>\n

After thoroughly cleaning, spray the pool walls with a 10% solution of algaecide to prevent algae growth and development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before filling or refilling the pool with water, check if you have enough pool water treatment products. Also, check the functionality of the devices for measuring pool water parameters (pH and free chlorine) and the reagent tablets for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fill or refill the pool with water and adjust the pool water parameters according to the instructions of the water treatment product manufacturer.<\/span><\/p>\n

REGULAR MAINTENANCE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pool maintenance includes:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • maintaining the pool water with chemical agents,<\/span><\/li>\n
  • vacuuming the pool bottom,<\/span><\/li>\n
  • checking and maintaining pool equipment, <\/span><\/li>\n
  • rinsing the filter, <\/span><\/li>\n
  • checking the dosing automation, <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Checking the pool water and equipment is necessary at least once a week, and more often if dosing automation is not installed.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

    POOL WINTERIZATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    For preparing the pool for winter, the following procedure is recommended:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Remove all accessories and equipment from the pool (skimmer baskets, steps, handrails, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Thoroughly clean the pool, vacuum it, and brush the walls to remove as much organic material as possible from the pool.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Adjust the pH value of the water and shock chlorinate the water, if necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Add winterizing liquid to the pool and leave the pool pump to filter so that the agent is evenly distributed in the water.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Lower the water level in the pool below the level of plastic elements (skimmers, nozzles, lights) approximately to 2\/3 or 1\/2 of the water level to protect the plastic elements from the negative effects of freezing water surface.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Cover the pool with a winter cover to prevent leaves and other debris from falling in. Additionally, a covered pool is protected from UV radiation during winter, extending the lifespan of the pool shell.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • For all machinery rooms, it is very important to ensure that the temperature does not drop below 0\u00b0C, so you can place an electric radiator with an anti-freeze function.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
